With the Espacio SIRVENT, at Ambigú SIRVENT, we start a new Scene-Installation project where each event will present a touch of freshness which will be strongly connected with our usual job – creating environments which show and stimulate new ways of living.

This time, and as if a reader had been “caught red-handed” on a day like any other, we present an urban scene which could have taken place in London, Paris, New York or Shanghai. However, this time, it just so happened to be in Vigo, at Gran Vía 129 – Espacio SIRVENT. Once the talk had finished – “El Algodón No Engaña” (“the proof is in the pudding”), a talk followed by a discussion conducted by the architect Alfonso Penela – the space was suddenly invaded by those attending the event to have a snack. He left very quickly, leaving his whisky, coffee and books in a sober but stylish environment, by the way. This man, or woman, was surrounded by an extraordinary La Chaise relax chair and a LTR table, both designed by Charles & Ray Eames; a wonderful Felt Shade lamp by the British Tom Dixon, and a coffee set by Aldo Rossi. Has he or she bought them in Sirvent????
