We can see in this shopwindow the UNIT EDU desk and bookcase, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1949. This is a multifunctional system which was manufactured according to the principles of mass production, like the Eames House, built in the same period. They also designed the DSW chair and the DAR armchair in 1950¬, the first mass-produced plastic chairs, as well as the leg splint, developed in 1941 when Eames worked for the US Navy.
On the table, the Cylinder lamp, design by I. Noguchi, and on the floor, the Lucilla lamp, by Paolo Rizzato. A couple of dolls from the Wooden Dolls collection, by Alexander Girard, watch the street. Next to them, the erotic Shiva vase, designed in 1973 by the eccentric Ettore Sottsass.
At the back, we can see a piece by the artist Daniel Verbis.
